Description
In spite of the wind on my Breeding Bird Survey on the cliff, my marvellous little TZ3 managed a fairly sharp pic of this flower.
The other plants in the background are Sorrel.

Nice shot!
Lovely shot Andrea and much better than the one I've just taken!
A simple but quite architectural structure isn't it!
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.

Wonderful capture! :)
great shot
Nice TZ3 pic of the plantain on the plantation. Added note: Plantains are related to the banana.
I love the way that this makes me think of something prehistoric. The sort of plant I'd zoom in to take a photo of, before a duck-billed dinosaur (parasolophorous or something) goes mincing by, making those hooting dinosaur noises they were probably known to make, since their head-crests were resonance chambers. I love the way in which this image evokes that, but it's a brilliant image all on its own, without hooting, bird-hipped dinosaurs mincing into the shot on tiptoe, with their counterbalancing tails stretched back at that odd, ground-parallel angle. Great color and a wonderful sense of mood and openness. This is a beautifully fresh image.
I've seen these before. They always looked as if they were wearing Elizabethan collars. The only plantain I know is variety of banana. Wonderful clear shot.
Congrats to Tizzy 3 and lovely clarity in zoom!
Very beautiful capture!
cool
Great shot - some plants just wait to get their picture! ;o)
We have the same, or something similar, sort of thing here. They grow wild in this climate. Ours have sturdy, sort of ribbed or square-ish stems.
See? why are they considered weeds? they're beautiful! We have them here, too, probably brought over by the English way back in the 16 or 17 hundreds, grins!
Heard of this plant but never saw it until now.... great pic and capture Hugs Susan
Even the lowly plantain looks good in closeup.
