Description
The Brown-lipped Banded Snail, Cepaea nemoralis, on the left, and the White-lipped Banded Snail, Cepaea hortensis, on the right.
I quite liked the chance arrangement of the pine needles and bark.
On a kerbstone in my road.

Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
I was a bit slow when first looking at this pic but once I came out of my shell I could see the beauty. The needles make a good point of interest!!
Great picture Well done !!! give me an idea to make something with a snail!!!!
Tsk, they're playing snail jenga (how many times do I have to tell them not to play with their food).
Now that is something we have not got here for sure but i would love to see some of them great shot hon.
Great shot!
Great capture Andrea
They look like mint humbugs :o)
Great shot !
These were pretty rare in London, until I brought back a few dozen from a fishing trip in 1983, you can see scores of them now around the docklands hehehe, one of my claims to fame I suppose. Nicely captured Andrea!
These little chaps look great I didn't realise there were two types.
Excellent shot and cute nails :)
I agree with jayfar :)
Neato patterns on those little escargots, Andrea. Not surprisingly, our snails are not endowed with such lovely artwork.
Performance art by two hipster snails perhaps? A lovely image. The crisis du jour here in the colonies is the discovery in Texas of the giant African land snail (Achatina fulica) which are about the size of the palm of your hand. In typical American fashion they have been described as deadly, invasive and carriers of meningitis. But think of the escargot.
Very beautiful! I found a large colony of snails in my front garden yesterday. Many were given flying lessons, and the rest were left with a not-pleasant dinner, I'm afraid...I have no tolerance for molluscs in the garden!
wonderful
They're just showing off, posing like that. LOL! Terrific capture!
Great pic Hugs Susan
You're right, Andrea - nature itself creates its own artworks and you caught it!! Good shot!! :o)
A wonderful find and photo Andrea and both are out and moving. A lovely study in zoom!
