Description
A slight change today with a photographic image. This was taken in 2004 by me with a cheap canon digital camera, the quality is not so important, the composition is and the subject matter too. This was taken at the Calvert Trust in Exmoor, Devon and this is my late mother, it's one of those chance captures that often means you can only use the best you had at the time, I think it was only a 2mp canon.
I miss her dearly and there is never a day goes by when I don't think about her. When it came to art she was my biggest supporter and my most constructive critic, always giving a reason if there was any issues with work I created. She was 10 when WW2 broke out and her stories of those days make me grateful towards many aspects of life today.
In the image she is walking by the Boathouse which is not far from the Wistlanpound Reservoir, this trust supports people with mental and physical disabilities and it's a respite too for their carers... many activities take place here including yachting and supports soldiers severely disabled in war from the middle east. It's a peaceful and relaxing place but never morbid.. people are treated as people regardless of their mental and/or physical conditions.
