Description
I seem to remember this was just one of those chance shots, the cat was in the right place and I had my flash on auto and it fired and this was the result, no effects added. I remember it was not a very bright day in the month of January in Exmoor, Devon.

How gorgeous! Cats are such amazing critters: not nearly as mysterious as people go around saying that they are. They have too much individual (very individual) personality to be something as plain and simple as myterious. And they're elegant on top of that. Well, unless they're being clumsy, which is sometimes the case, when they live their lives indoors. This is a gorgeous shot, and the green reflection in the eyes is really superb. I can't recall correctly, but I think the color of a cat-eye glow is also an indication of the cat's ancestry; the glow colors aren't as distinct as fingerprints, but if I remember correctly, they do have something to do with a particular set of feline ancestors. I have no clue what any of that has to do with this gorgeous shot, but there you have it. I love the jumble of branches and fallen leaves and things like that, and the nice little "teapot shape" of the cat sitting low and relaxed, but maybe just a little bit wary. This is an excellent shot.
very nice shot
Hope he didn't think he was hiding :o)
