Description
"The Prince of the Villains" is hurrying to a meeting nearby, escorted by his big guard "Oaktree". Things may seem quiet in the village, but the tension is just below the surface. Two local guardsmen are following the unlikely visitors with some attention - not exactly keeping a low profile on their homeground, they can't resist mocking the "dandy" looking prince a bit..."
- This is of course not mainstream Vue work, but I really like making these historical/fantasy scenes with characters and hints of a story.
Here I was also interested to see if Vue was able to pull this off - on my old 32 bit system Vue would struggle with the (great) village model alone, adding characters could be done only with caution and a great deal of planning and composite renders.
On my 64 bit system this potentially heavy scene was swift to make and render, once the character setup was done (great deal of work in that dept. though). Many huge and detailed texture maps, lots of details - no problem :)
Toolbox: Vue render, DAZ Studio, Photoshop.
Items from DAZ, Cornucopia 3D and myself.
Thanks for viewing, comments etc. welcome and appreciated.
Have a nice day,

Nice work and great attention to detail. I really like the hazy atmo and sense of realism.

Wow, that is spectacular!
great composition and light
Excellent work! Thanks for the explanation of your Vue manipulations. Which version of Vue are you using? I have V10C. Your image looks realistic enough that it could have been a Hi Def vidcap.
excellent quality render great attention to detail wonderful atmosphere and the road is exceptionally good
You deserve a medal! Excellent work and composition. Bravo for your patience and dedication. You and your 64-bit machine most certainly did pull it off. 5 +++
very great
Wonderful image as always Lars..but I particularly like how you have done the paving!! 5
Exceptional work here. Beautifully balanced composition and layout. Extraordinary lighting with great care to detail makes for a stunning and awesome image. Congratulations on some very fine work.
Outstanding work! Great lighting, detail and poses.
Really cool work and POV, neat mats also.
Nice idea, I like the athmo and all the simple things you see.
Lots of nice little details and clutter to add some realism. The two foreground figures on the left seem a little stiff with contrived poses, but otherwise pretty good. Everything seems a bit clean for medieval times.
Nicely done scene. Looks "mainstream" to me.
You did really great work!
Excellent lighting. Nice detail. A hint of a story adds so much to an image. Way better than the centered, clothing show-off pictures you find on this site. - Bob
Simply stunning, a perfect atmosphere. Brilliant work.
a marvelous light and a fine hand for the detail! an excellent work, Lars!
This is so realistic!!!!!!
Beatuiful in town scene
Fantastic Picture.
The lighting and materials came out just incredibly.
Super work. Vue loves the extra power of 64 bits and the ability to address extra memory. Look forward to seeing more of your work on your new hardware!
