"Namarie" is Elvish for "Farewell."
I just recieved news that my last remaining uncle, Glenn Shelley, passed away this morning. He had been battling a number of health issues over the last few years, but through it all he remained tough and upbeat - he always had a warm smile, and made you feel welcome. He was a man's man - a man of the earth; a farmer for most of his life. He was tough, and independent, but one of the most generous and kind men you'd ever be fortunate enough to know. He would never hesitate to extend a helping hand to someone in need. We have been blessed to have him for 87 years.
Take your wings, and be free, Uncle Glenn. You've earned it.
I'm pretty sure his brother, my dad, will be joining him soon.
I will be taking a break from posting and commenting for a few days as arrangements proceed. I'll be back soon.

Awww Rod, I am SO sorry to hear about this. It is so hard that as we age, so do our family members. Namarie, Glen and may the Valar watch over you!
