Description
Photographs find me. I don’t look for subjects, I simply swim through moods. I swam through a mood nearly one year ago; it was a mood composed of sunlight and shadow, the gleam of plastic, and the matte texture of paper. These things (minus the sunlight and the shadow) were small defense against winter’s chill. Spring had already made its arrival and so the thin insulation was not necessary. At times, unnecessary things (when endowed with the right mood) become other things. On the morning that I took this photo, sunlight and shadow created a mood and I photographed it.
As always, thank you for viewing, reading, and commenting, and I hope you’re all having a great week.

Very cool image love the way you think
However you do it, you find and capture the most amazing photos.
Love the mood, lighting and different textures in this. Very nice!
Atmosphere/Mood is a good description for this. Could the tape be a crime scene tape? I keep thinking CSI:Andara. Great work.
A fascinating & unique synthetic abstract. I can't explain exactly why, but I find it very appealing...
A most satisfying composition.
A very nice capture.
It's such a lovely abstract; the mix of textures and the light/shadow interplay are wonderful. Well done Chip!
Superb capture my friend. God bless.
Nice one!
My first thoughts were of the type of sorcery which stage artist can conjure. They use light and how it reflects or absorbs on common materials like plastic and cloth to make things disappear and reappear by changing colours and angles. I am reminded of the Temple of Demnos in Masque of Mandragora and how it repeatedly shifted from ruins to restoration with just a change in the stage lighting. All very magical. In much the same way, I see one world or a different point in time blending with the universe in the foreground so that one could move between them or at least both sides could know the other through this portal.
wonderful
terrific work!
Wonderful light and colors in this shot. You have eyes for light and mood. :)
Texture plus. Love it! (And I agree with Andrea about the composition.)
