Description
I was given this extraordinary plant by a friend.
What an oddity! Although I prefer the wild ones, I have to admit this is not without a certain vulgar charm. Prim it is NOT.
A sort of 'footballer's wife' of a flower.

I suppose you could say that these are prim...if you brazenly stretch the meaning of the word. I love the combination of colors: something only Nature can get away with. I also like the way the thumbnail gives the impression that one is being watched by a pair of very strange eyes.
Superb capture Andrea. Love the colors of this flower. God Bless.
Sort of like a street lady...but I like street ladies!
I agree with your sentiments but I like the shot.
never seen this species; great shot
Lovely, never seen that before,
Awesome Andrea MUST find the seeds!!!

GEORGOUS!!! Love the colors!!!
Beautiful, both the shot and the flowers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hehe footballers wives are not prim either, and certainly far from proper. I actually like these blooms :)
Splendid flowers, excellent capture with the water droplets!
Wonderful!
I have never seen this colour before, quite attractive!!
A spectacular genetic manipulation end product. Ingenious! And what a fantastic photo, Andrea!
The word gaudy comes to mind. Definitely an attention getter. Our American version of the footballer's wife would most likely respond to your comments by saying, "Hey lady, I look GOOD!"
WOW! What a strange looking primrose and beautiful in its own way :)
Very amazing flowers. I've never seen that one.
OK, but a stunning capture Andrea. The dew drops, the variegated colors and the golden centers are exquisite!
SUPERLATIVE IMAGE!
wow never saw any thing like this
Can't say I've ever seen this variety before--yikes, stripes! Great shot!
beautiful colored flowers, nice photo.
No, 'subtle' does not come to mind here. They're fabulous and amazing, though! A charming surprise in the garden.
It has the look of one of your digi fiddles .
Beautiful never saw a varigeated one like this.... hugs susan
