Description
Largely inspired by the weather here last night. :) This is a new girl I've been working on who's currently in testing. I'll be honest...The lighting for the original render turned out terribly and no amount of postwork was going to fix that. And with 7 hours of render time, I figured it'd be better to play with it as is than re-render. So what does that mean? Filter Forge, my friends, Filter Forge... I'm actually rather pleased at the comic book effect this turned out, so I'll leave it as is. Hope you enjoy...

I think the result is perfect though. It's a wonderful black and white with some some nice and soft colors addtion. A style that I love a lot. This new girl looks lovely and the wind effect with her hair is awesome.

Totally magnificent. How did you get the image into Filterforge to mess with it? I have not been able to get my copy to import images.
woooeeee, who woulda known this was not a totally deliberate attempt and not someone pulling their rear out of a fire! At first glance I thought it was a graphic, gritty black and white but then the subtle skin tones and lips came through. I really like the unforgiving close up camera work and the wicked way her hair is all blowing about. She also has a look of lost contemplation. Agree with Rudy that this is a work worth printing and framing.

I absolutely love what you've done with this one, Vyk! Holy wow..... This looks great! I love the subtle color on her cheek and lips, with the rest of it being monochrome – a lovely piece of artwork! I won a copy of Filter Forge in a contest over at YURDigital... And I have to admit, it's rather addicting to play with. I do love some of those comic book filters..
