shellter !
I'll bet there's a choice soap dish waiting to be found.
Superb capture my friend. God Bless.
I wonder what happens next.
Andrea, baby oysters begin life as free-floating organisms but quickly settle to the bottom attaching themselves to hard surfaces. That's why oysters grow in clumps on pilings and concrete, but their favorite most productive place to grow is on other shells that have been placed back in the water!
Excellent shot Alan. I think blinkins may be right.
wonderful
Ouch, I don't think I'd want to walk barefoot on a layer of those shells! That's a lot of oysters...impressive shot!
A super capture!
Oh, that's a really cool photo, I had no idea that people recycled those.
Wow, that is quite a collection of oyster shells!! And I never knew they recycled them. Someone explained by above and it was SO interesting!
What many of them, Alan. Such an interesting shot.
I expect that Pearl would like a few of these!! Nice shot Alan.
Interesting photo. You learn something new everyday.
mmmh, give me a lemon and one from the other staple;) great found and picture
Can be used to make a fire
I was told they crushed them up and put them on gardens, how true it is I don't know.
That would make a wonderful ground cover for flower gardens or around trees..
