Young Bill had gone up to his room after he and Pasha get back to the castle. The car accident had really shaken him up. He was sore all over, but the medical station that Arik, the chauffer, had taken him and Pasha to had given them both a clean bill of health. He pulled off his dirty bloodied clothes and took a nice long relaxing hot bath and before long he was feeling much better, if not very tired. He pulled on a clean pair of pants and climbed into bed as soon as he dried off, just too tired to dig for a pair of pajamas in his suitcase, and was passed out moments later. He never heard the knock at the door. Jeeves, the butler, entered and stood by his bed looking down at his body. A strange gleem was in his eyes as he looked down at Bill's neck. A strange transformation suddenly took place. His skin became much paler and when he opened his mouth, he had four long reddish looking fangs that gleamed when the light hit them just right. The pendant on Bill's bare chest Jeeves had given him gleamed with a low light of its own. Slowly, Jeeves lowered his head closer and closer to Bill's neck. He was very close to his target when there was a light knock at the door. As quickly as he could, Jeeves grabbed a blanket and threw it over Bill covering him up to his neck and concealing the pendant. Just as quickly, he transformed back into the stiff upper lipped butler everyone was accustomed to seeing around the castle. The door to Bill's room opened and Pasha came in and was soon standing beside Jeeves. He asked Jeeves how Bill was doing, never suspecting that anything was out of the ordinary. Jeeves told him that Bill was resting comfortably and that he just needed some rest. He would probably be feeling much better by morning. Pasha told Jeeve he could leave and that he would stay with Bill for awhile just in case he awoke and needed anything. Jeeves could barely conceal his disappointment but complied with Pasha's request and left the room. As he left the room and closed the door, the contortions of dismay that crossed his face would have surprised anyone that would have seen him just then. Pasha stayed with Bill for about an hour. When he was certain Bill wasn't going to awaken and need anything, he left a message on Bill's table letting him know that he had another, hopefully safer adventure for them for the following day.
