Description
This little critter was wandering around the Bisti Badlands. He was shy & seemed to be looking for a place to hide when we spotted each other, but there wasn't much cover around. I managed to get a few photos of him before he scuttled off. I have no idea what kind of lizard this is - can anyone identify it?
This officially ends my southwest series, onto other subjects tomorrow...

Maybe it will have to be known as the 'Bisti' lizard!! Nice shot.
I love the look he seems to be giving you! I'm no help on the ID ... sorry! Thanks for this extended series from your trip! I've enjoyed it very much.
Someone is watching you...lol Nice shot. Aloha
dont point that thing at me buster seems to be the expression, nicely taken
Very cool capture Love the lizard's expression
Excellent shot.
Very beautiful capture, we can view the mimicry of the lizard!
Well seen and captured - he blends in with the rock so well in colour and texture!
Nice shot of the lizard. It is odd that you only saw one.
Great capture. Nice pose of the lizard. seems looking at you.
He looks quite chagrined to be spotted! What a handsome fellow! Excellent capture...
Love the lizzy, I have plenty in my garden, not like this though.
It almost looks like our water lizzards here in South Africa. I have no idea though what this is. Me and my daughter love lizzards. We don't have them as pets, but occasionally she will catch one just to look at it and let it go again. They are interesting creatures for sure. Excellent shot!
S/he looks very healthy looking for such a stark area. A nice capture!
