Looks pretty solid all things considered, and certainly not a basket case or total rust out. I think this one could come back just fine with a little work. Always liked these Packards better that the post war "bath tub" body style. Great shot, and love the bird's eye view. Very tasty.

1941 eh! then Packard started building licenced Merlin engines....now there's an idea :-) Many views on restoration, I suppose it comes down to numbers available...the rarer the item the more you want it 'pristine'.As Bill says this has a nice aged quality...if the decay can be halted, it would be a nice exhibit piece or an excellent talking point as it stands. It actually looks like a 'runner', be interesting to see under the bonnet (hood). The usual, unusual 'Tara' angle....did you take this from an upstairs window, balcony or was Bill 'footing' the ladder :-)

As I learned from Battlestar Galactica (in reference to a good ship) If her back isn't broken, and you treat her right, she'll still always make that jump. I'd like to hope that this dignified old lady hasn't broken her back and that what's been started will get finished. She looks like she still has a road or two in her. I love the angle of this shot and the oddly beetle-like shape she has.
