Description
I got this today in my garden! I have tried to watch the Teasel several times but got fed up before the Goldies arrived. Whenever I see them feeding and go for my camera they have gone when I get back. This is the second winter I have tried to get them in the garden on Teasel. I feel really pleased to have captured this shot after all the fruitless waiting. It was hand held too so even better. The out of focus houses accross the background are a little disappointing, but hey I got it at last!

Brilliant! I am so pleased for you. I have the teasels but not the finches..bah! Well done on the super pic !
What a so beautiful and colored bird .Extra pic .Thanks to share your beauties ((5++))
Beautiful capture!
A beautiful little bird with superb coloring - great capture...
Your hand held is giving this a softer focus which I think enhances this beautiful shot.
nice capture!
You certainly did! What a brilliant capture Kevin, and how handsome is he. The Goldfinches that visit my garden seem to prefer the teasel heads to Niger seed at the moment.
Stunning bird and shot.
A superb capture and I know how you feel about missing all those great shots, they only stay still for such a short time.
Well done. IMHO I don't find the houses in the background distracting at all.
very beautiful,great capture
What a little beauty! You did a great job on this, I like the blurred background. Wonderful capture!
Superb capture my friend. Do not be to bothered about the background as you got a rare good capture of this bird. God Bless.
Super shot! The background being out of focus is a very positive condition, giving you nice background bokeh!
Nice little bird. Beautiful shot. B->
lovely little bird, beautiful photo!
A gorgeous goldfinch and lovely clarity. Also congratulations for this photo being chosen for LWITG.
nice portrait, lovely bird, happy weekend
The bokeh out on the houses is really very minimal Kevin, I would not have known what it was until you mentioned it. I'd be proud to call this mine mate! As a side note, I used to breed variegated canaries, and teazle seed was used to make them sing. But was advised to be in small quantities in with the staple food.
