Description
Waleran Bigod is a character from Ken Follett's book : the Pillars of the Earth.
As you can imagine from my image, he is a machiavelic and sly man.
I was inspired by the actor Ian McShane who acted in the film of the same name.
The story takes place during the Middle Ages in England during a war for the succession on the throne and tells how a cathedral was built.
I won't tell you what part Waleran Bigod took in the story but it was very interesting :-)
So, here it is for my first 2D image of the year !

Jolie représentation de cet ecclésiastique du Moyen-Age avec une belle lumière. Il a l'air énigmatique, je me demande ce qu'il a en tête. Nice artwork with this medieval clergyman and beautiful lighting. He looks enigmatic, I'm wondering what he has in mind.
Un superbe coup de patte, comme on dit, et beaucoup d'expression dans les yeux de ce personnage, qui doit être attachant à sa manière, tout comme beaucoup de personnages crées par Ken Follett. C'est marrant, je n'ai pas encore lu les Piliers de la Terre , mais je viens de finir 'Un Monde sans Fin' que j'ai beaucoup aimé, avec le personnage de Philemon, comme vilain prieur ! ... Magnifique composition, Virginie...je n'ose imaginer les heures passées sur ta tablette!
Je ne connais pas non plus, mais il est inquiétant à souhait.
