Description

Sinus Sabaeus, Mars. I entered this image into the E-on 2012 Environment Challenge. I have had a seed to create a Mars image in my mind for years now and I wanted to create an image for the challenge that was a little bit different - big mistake. I have always found that my best work comes easy, and this one I constantly struggled with, and I think it shows. A nice concept, but it just doesn't have that spark for me. A concept I will visit again - my goal: the ultimate Mars image. Vue Infinite 6.6, Photoshop (minor adjustment and sharpening).

when you look at all the images curiosity rover you find that mars looks like a quarry site somewhere on earth, with just a colour tint :-) so dont be too hard on yourself,if your goal is realism then you are very close, not sure if sky is accurate, but i think the most striking mars pics are the ones with a bit of artistic license thrown in :-)
