Description
The first version of this conceptual artwork was created in, I think, 2009 and I've recreated it about two or three times. Now I've revived the concept into a brand new artwork. This was always one of my favorite conceptuals, I'm glad I decided to revive it into what is now one of my new favorite artworks.
I used IDL with a soft infinite and a specular light only. I used my latest SSS shaders on both her skin and her hair, the latter isn't supposed to be too shiny which is why it looks a little bit flatter than my usual render of hair. I created the depth of field effect in postwork along with lots of adjustments to create a new color/contrast scheme then added a couple texture overlays and a thin border. It took a lot of trial and error to get the look I wanted but, in the end, I achieved what I was aiming for.
