De sa clochette j'entends le son
Tonton tontaine tonton
Et, sous le poids de ses bagages,
On dit que fléchit son ânon

Quand il commence sa tournée
Et qu'il entre dans nos maisons

Nos souliers ,sabots et chaussons

Saint Nicolas,nous sommes sages

I met Saint Nicholas two days ago. He is the favorite character of the children in my country because he brings sweets and chocolates to all the pupils.
He usually comes in schools on December 6th, day when he is celebrated in Lorraine.
Pupils usually sing a song or two to thank him for his gifts. Of course, they all say they were very nice all year long :-)
