I am ashamed to say
It has been so long since I heard your voice
I almost forgot how much I love you
We have been through so much together
We have laughed and cried together
Mostly laughed
Five feet apart year after year
There are few secrets
We didn’t share
Life is a winding river
And for a while
We are floating down different streams
But our friendship is the kind
That even a long time apart
Can never change how deeply we feel
Last night I called my friend Merrylee, we worked together side by side for many years. It had been six months or so since we talked and it was so good to hear her voice. Hearing her voice reminded me of one thing. I love my little buddy to pieces
