Description
Brings to mind the exotic and adventurous type of job that many of us imagine that we would have liked to have engaged in. All those 40's movies fueled the fantasies of those freelance roustabout pilots kicking around after the war here and there in offbeat locals doing making a living in an unconventional way.
Briney's "Goose" (with some texture tweaks) brought back memories of those old movies and Humphrey Bogart type fantasies. I tried to give this render that flavor.

I've flown the bigger brother to this (Mallard) but never managed to get my hands on one of these gems. Great pic :)
Nice work!
Like the mix of ship types Bill. Junk moving out against the plane movement also very nice in keeping with your ability to portray motion as you usually do.
Excellent!
oh... yaaas... a nice blast from the past... the dream of many a young boy (okay and many a young man)..a classic time... engines rev.. the sound reverbs through your chest... I can feel it now... stunning shot, instant fave!
Very realistic. You've captured the flavour of such stories very well.
As always brilliant
Excellent and well set up!!!
Wow... Very fine picture.
'slow boat to China' or a 'quick goose'...tough choice :-) Easy choice with the image though mate, another belter of a nautical / aviation mix. I've got Briney's latest, just haven't had time to use it yet, this makes me think I should. ( can't help but notice, you haven't shot any holes in THIS ONE :-) LoL
Excellent work!

Great to see the Goose getting the Steelrazer treatment. And you've done the era proud with this combination, brooding monsoon and all!
Cool! Nicely done!
Beautiful work!!
Great stuff. Thank you.
Gotta' tell ya Weelie, you and me!!
Top notch in all aspects!
The Grumman Goose was one of the coolest prop jobs out of WWII. Tales of the Gold Monkey ... a sort of prop job Millennium Falcon.
