We don't get real intense fall colors here, but when you see them against the redwoods, it's just gorgeous. Never my favorite season, but you can't help but love the colors!
Gorgeous colors. I love the fall foliage even here in Southern California when the palm fronds turn from green to brown and then fall off and hit you in the head.

It's been awfully gorgeous here too, although with the winds we haven't got too many leaves left on the trees now. This is a wonderful splash of gold!

Ah...signs of the Great Yellowing, as I call it. SO many of Chicago's trees captured this particular shade of autumnal yellow and there were a few splashes of red. Of course, the days were gray and misty and wet and so I found that they were great days for writing. Unfortunately, I was doing stuff other than writing, but I did enjoy the yellowing of the season and this photo captures that perfectly! I love yellow leaves...for some reason they always make me think of some other kind of life form...something...well...yellow.
