Description
Like "The cemetery guardian" pumpkin. This one had a design on both sides to cast a shadow image. For the Guardian it was a cloud covered moon. This one has a web and spider.
Originally this pumpkin was slated for a witch design Crystal wanted to do, but it was not tall enough. Funny that she chose the spider and web design, as she has arachnophobia. :~) When Crystal started, she began on the outside of the web. This added an extra measure of difficulty. It should have been worked on from the center outwards, so the pumpkin stayed structurally sound as the pieces got cut out. As I was explaining the concept, Crystal handed the pumpkin over to me for completion...lol!

HOW clever!!!
Spooky looking designs!
dazzling
Wonderful light.
That'll learn ya for trying to teach a young lady how to do something "the right way." A very clever bit of carving, mine were always so dull in comparison.
Superb shot !
Very cool and great job. We only carved one pumpkin this year, standard Jack. But my daughter and I had fun with the one we did do.
Lovely capture of these beautiful carvings!
Superb pumpkins and shot!
Sounds like a family member, a wife maybe? "Here Mister Expert. You're so good, you finish it." I know how that goes. The results were superb, whoever did them. Never seen a pumpkin carved from both ends. Very cool concept and execution.
Excellent shot! :)

I'm not overly fond of spiders myself but this is a fantastic pumpkin. I never was very good at carving or sculpting so I think this is fabulous work, Dana! Love your jack-o-lanterns!!
