Description
Judge Dredd patrols the streets of Mega-City-One, a vast future city of over 400 million potential 'perps'. He is Judge, Jury and Executioner - He is the Law! Created over 25 years ago by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra, ol' Stony Face is still kicking arse in 2000AD every week, and with 2 more movies on the way we ca nexpect a much higher profile for this character in the near future.
A4/pencil and Photoshop 6. Drawn without reference and completed in about 6 hours.

Yeah, I wasn't happy with the backgroung either but after most of a day staring at the thing I think my brain was a bit fried , so I just slapped it on there and somehow never got around to changing it...
Wow! how did you do the excellent shadow?
Bit of a cheat really - eye candy perspective shadow filter for ps6. If you don't have it you can create the same effect in photoshop by first selecting the object you want to shadow, copying onto a new layer and filling it with black. Set the new layer opacity to 40% or so, move it behind the original layer and use the edit>transform tools to distort and move it how you want. (Most of my drawings are simply the character so I can select the white background with the wand then ctrl+shift+I to invert the selection)
