I love it too Andrea, an image knot to be missed.
Very Alien looking. Great spot.

Wonderful shot. I love the texture of old wood, and this certainly fits the bill.
Well seen, excelently captured 5+
Nice capture of this most awesome pattern.

nice abstract,great image
Another glorious product of nature. Breathtaking contrast, patterns and textures in this stunning.portrait of the knot and surrounding wood, Andrea.
Saying it in your caption is the only way to get the drop on Jeff! LOL! I love the ripples, like sound waves filling a room. Beautiful!
Oh, I love this! I love a good pun! Or a bad one. Did you know that the ancient Egyptian god, Thoth (that ibis-headed dude) was fond of puns? Who knew!? Anyway, that has nothing to do with this, but there you have it. I love a good knot. I love the texture and the sense of wood-waves in this image. The details are the whole point of this shot and what a shot it is. This is a marvel!
Great abstract and image Hugs Susan~

Brilliant !
excellent shot - looks like a fractal!
Excellent work, I am on your side here. And what a great title.
Knot bad at all.Nice lines and textures.
Ditto - what everyone has said before me and I like to add, there is a bit of Edvard Munch's most recognizable 'Scream' apparent there as well ... Bravo Andrea of your findings, BB
I like to see the textures and patterns that are created by the checking process in aging wood in natures elements!
