Description
The woman facing the camera (partially hidden) wearing the conical hat is the Vietnamese equivalent of what is referred to in the United states as a 'chuck wagon', a mobile caterer of hot food.
Two baskets which are suspended from a pole she carries across her shoulder, are loaded with wares, in this case hot meals.
She walks along streets and sells hot meals to people that either work in stores or sidewalk stands along these streets.
Here these women are buying meals and squat right there on the sidewalk and have lunch.
This was a very common sight all over Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon), Vietnam.
