Reflecting on my life
The days were slow
And yet how quickly
I have become old
Now I spend my days
In a daze
Trying to figure out
Did I make a mark
Did I have a day
Where I stood in the sun
Refusing to give in to the dark
Did I stand in the street and scream
I am mad as hell
And I am not going to take it anymore
I can’t help but wonder
Did I hear the trumpet
Was I to weak to respond

I have often wondered if I have touched hearts. :)) Have I helped shed lite and joy on a dark day. :))) Have I made someones day just a little sweeter. :))) Have I been there enough. :))))) Have I said the rite words. :))) I want to do all of these things bc that is what my heart wants to do. :)))) If I do just one of these each day of my life then my heart has done it's very best. :)))) Most touching poem my friend. :))))) Most excellent capture my friend. :)))) Thank you for sharing all of the beauty you see. :)))) Carry A Smile In Your Heart :)))))

A wonderful contemplative image. You might be surprised to see how many of us 'old folks' are marching in the streets these days. If nothing else, you have fathered children who will live after you and by doing that you have changed the world forever.

Aye... it's all well and good to look back at the "Would've could've should've", but stare too long behind and you might miss what is right in front of you. As a certain show used to say in its opening theme: "Anything can happen in the next half-hour!" :)

I reflect now on good and bad times. Although I have not always been a positive in peoples lives I became one and know through kind words or curses I am remembered. Beautiful poem and beautifully illustrated...
