Description
Took a trip to the lava field in Kalapana as my son wanted some pictures for his photography. I picked him up at 1:00 am, started our hike in the dark early morning hours 2:30 am and got to the lava at about 5:00 am. Got some pictures of my own so it will be lava series for now. Too hot to handle in this great shot with outstanding contrast, Errol. Actually, to anthropomorphize it, I see the upper back of someone trying to climb up over the top of a cliff.
