Description
This image is a dedication to the king of country music George Strait : I've read that he is making his last tour.
For sure, it makes all of his fans (and me) very sad !
He is a great entertainer and one of the most awarded artists. He sold more CDs than most of them too.
I still remember when I used to know him and his music back in 1998 during my first vacation in the USA. This year he had a big success with his songs "True" and "I just want to dance with you".
After a couple days, I was abble to recognize his songs after two or three notes and to sing the chorus after a week (giggles)...
I bought all his CD's and when I was back at home I started to "study" his lyrics and sing his songs in my car.
So, I guess that he is certainly the one who learned me to speak english (LOL!)
I hope he will produce some new CD's... The world will never be the same now.

Now, as for my image, it is an old one I've reworked and now, I feel satisfied with the outcome :-)

Virginie, What a warm and wonderful tribute dishes to George Strait. He has long been one of my favorite singers also and I was fortunate enough to see him in concert once many years ago. My all-time favorite song of his is "The Chair"
I seldom hear his music as I am stuck with the artists long ago. certainly a great painting. friends that I use to have in Mexico, could sing in English from listening to songs. however they could not pickup enough to speak in English. it fooled me into thinking they could speak English until I tried speaking in English. the whole family of girls could sing and they were popular in Mexico. man that was a long time ago

Je viens de visionner la photo de cet artiste qui t'a inspirée, sur internet, et encore une fois, je ne peux que penser et dire : chapeau l'artiste, par ton coup de crayon et le réalisme, la fidélité de ce portrait. En plus, je ne connaissais ce noble artiste ni d'Eve ni d'Adam! ...Il doit être temps pour moi d'arrêter de donner des devoirs et de corriger des copies les week-ends et d'ouvrir les yeux sur une autre réalité artistique plus épanouissante ! En tout cas, comme le dit JC, tu es une vraie artiste: respect !

amazing lighted portrait! I don't know him, but try to find some songs of him. I was doing the same like you with the poetries and songs from Leonard Cohen, and when I was in Oklahoma I listened to Andy Williams a lot because it fits to the country around! ;o)
