Description
It looked like a perfectly healthy planet, while suddenly it began to change. First slowly, but with increasing speed it began to implode, or dissolve? Until in the end there was only a very small strip and then .... nothing? Where had all that material gone? What lives had been destroyed? We will never know.

Thanks for your comments. Indeed, well observed: you can look at it the other way around too. I never saw that, because I started out from the first image!
