I know.........Surprise surprise..two in one week...
Caught this one earlier this summer before hubby passed away...and it's a dreary old day here in Ky...Cloudly,wet, and a tad bit cool...Hope it warms up just a bit tomorrrow for me to go pay bills........Had to put pexiglass in my car window...The deer broke it last fall..Called to find out about a replacement...$150....The pexiglass may have to do for awhile..I found the name of the dragonfly through widipekia? I got smart....It says the males are green and highly territorial...and they search high in the sky for their prey..one the like is butterflies..I had no idea on that one.........learned something new today.......

Beautiful capture. Dragonflies lay eggs in the pond, and then the hatched nymphs eat the baby fish. I didn't have any babies this year, again. Other than that, I like dragonflies.

This posting relates to ALL of your images and I must say they are fantastic. This capture is my favourite because they are so hard to keep in the frame long enough to hit the shutter. Sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. Hope 2013 goes well for you.
