Description
Once upon a time I took a walk into the Kathmandu Valley on my way to see the great shrine at Swayambhu. This little one came out of her house to see the strange man as he walked by.

Very cool photo hopefully you have more of this marvelous and mystical journey
This is a great picture :)
Excellent photo.
I can imagine that this region is not dominated by tourism. And little boy wanted to see the big white man with his own eyes. Or your appear was a welcome change to interrupt his work scavenging. At first I thought, he is holding a huge billet in hand .... * LOL * Class photo!
Just wonderful, Mark! Everything about this is perfect.
Very nice indeed!
oh! the air of mystery, and histoy, seeps through every brick and window space, more please.
great capture Mark!
OUTSTANDING WORK
Great photo, I love the color uniformity!
Having to scroll down the screen in anticipation of seeing what you described was so delightful and it was a great treat. What an absolutely gorgeous moment.
I've watched your gallery throughout, and sometimes I get comments in my head but don't write them. I've not traveled like you (not even a little), but your images often make me think that this is what I'd be seeking if I did---they feel very 'close' to me; and I think to some of your other viewers as well, if I read their comments right...With Andrea, this is wonderful. Visually, it's a splendid capture of an old, old wall, its dappled light, and its deep dark soot and age-scarring, etc. And the child behind that front wall---it's just superb. Beautiful and touching. Maybe because the child is eaten up by that wall, yet he/she seems to give that wall life---it's as much there for the child as the child for the wall. I mean I say "photojournalism" again, because this is what photojournalists see, how they see, etc..it's a 'moment'---the child seems to have just appeared---but it's got all kinds of timeless truth in it. The child is surrounded, even engulfed by, age, decay, dappled light, endurance, and the child seems unperturbed by it all---he's just a child. A moment, and a poem. Beautiful work, Mark.
