Description
I took this photo from the deck of a pitching boat, as the seals basked in the sun on a small island off the coast of Phillip Island Australia. You will need to zoom to see them, as even with my long lens they were a long way away and were quite camouflaged!

A lovely shot and you need to zoom to see all those seals - hundreds of em.
Excellent detail with a telephoto on board a boat! Lots of seals, and a very nice water capture as well!
Fabulous shot, and I bet it is pretty noisy and smelly there!
Camouflaged is the word mate. I had to zoom in and press my nose against the screen to see them as they look like rocks from a distance lol. Beautiful capture mate and lovely looking sea :)
An impressive photo ....(in zoom) I envy you for your coastal landscape. (stop. .. cool avatar, Andrew .... I'll bring you a beer)

Great capture
given the circumstances a great shot Andrew
Lots of them, wish I could be there in person. Thanks for sharing. Aloha
Very nice layers with the white of the water retreating!
You did well if you were in a boat!! Excellent and lovely shot mate.. As natural as it can get.. Well done! Rob
Zoom a must - superb shot.
When I see things like this (and we have similar scenes with harbor seals and such) I always think about sharks. My grand daughter waded in the ocean with a pup once when she was little and I nearly lost all my hair when I saw what she was doing. Got her out of the water in a flash. Wonderful shot. They seem to be reproducing well in your area.
a fantastic shot!
Stunning capture my friend. You took my memories back to seal Island at Hout Bay in Cape Town. God Bless.
Amazing! They can blend in very well. At first I saw only rocks.
very beautiful and the seals are also
Zoom is a must to get a feel for the number of seals that are really there. A great shot!
Well worth the zoom. The azure blue of the sea is beautiful.
