Description
Taken at Oswald West State Park, which is located on the Oregon coast just south of Cannon Beach. I've seen ferns & other small plants growing out of tree stumps before, but have never seen an actual tree growing out of the stump of another tree until I stumbled across this one. Nature continues to surprise me...

Wonderful and tapping in to the old roots no doubt.
cool find !
It's a first for me too, what a wonderful sight; it makes me wonder if the new tree is the same species as the old one, or if it's something else entirely. Great capture!
Wonderful artwork. Bravo
