Can not find one like this in my book, but it looks like it's from the Polypore family of mushrooms. It's a wonderful find and great capture! :)
wow, i would make it cut fine, with onions and whiet wine sec, persil, salt, pepper and toasted bread, would be great as your picture!
Wow, sterling shot of the ugly fungi, Klaus. It looks like a decomposing brain.
GREAT CAPTURE
superb capture
Excellent exposure.
Great find in the forest. Beautiful mushroom. Looks like it might be edible, but wouldn't want to take a chance.
Fantastic capture!!
Ich bin auch kein großer Pilzkenner. Aber diesen würde ich auch nur als Fotomodel vor die Linse lassen. Er hat was vom aufgeweichten Gehirn....war er ein intelligenter Pilz??
Beautiful capture! It seems to have escaped the morgue:) I don,t know much of edibles mushrooms, so I just trust the canned mushrooms.
A super find Klaus and a nice shot.
Great capture - one dead the others life... Love Juli's comment!! ;o)
