Description

"The Swimmer" is a figurative interpretation of the female form by sculptor, ceramicist and teach Jeffrey Wilkinson. It was created in the 1950s and was then cast in bronze in 1999. Best viewed zoooomed. It stands in a public park, thus explaining the POO!

Well, its a very figurative work! Can't say I've seen any woman looking like that, if I did I'd advise them to seek medical help!!! Interesting! Rob

Oh how interesting. :))))) I truely love this type of sculpting. :)))) I checked the sculptor out and saw the whole statue which is amazing. :))))) I love the details of the face. :))) The bird droppings aren't a big issue here. :)) To create beautiful art for all to see must be an amazing feeling. :)))) Most excellent capture my friend. :)))) Thank you for sharing all of the beauty you see. :)))) Carry A Smile In Your Heart :))))

Thanks for the exposure. Swimmers must open their mouth wide to intake a large amount of air in a very short expance of time. Could you post a picture of the entire statue?

Not usually a big fan of bird droppings, but in this case, they actually don't look bad & maybe even enhance the work. Well seen & captured...

Scary Mary might be a better name for her. Not your typical aussie beach babe mate :)

Great capture! I disagree with Dana, I think birds don't like the statue and they are showing it very clearly! Er..Jeff is a theoretical, right?.

Hey, don't mock POO. Some in Europe make art of that too. Sorry, I meant "art" :)
