Mordialloc creek is arguably the most significant feature of the suburb. Home to Pompei's boat works, Mordialloc Creek has a rich history of traditional wooden boat building. Many classic boats line the walls of the creek and may still be admired today. A vibrant fishing fleet still base themselves in these waters, and The Bridge Hotel does a mean fish and chips! Beautiful scene. Thank you for the background. It was particularly interesting to me since I built a wooden hulled / fiberglassed run-a-bout back in 1961. Our family used that boat for 31 years. It wore out three motors and two trailers during its service.

Actually debbielove its really cheep to live around here. Mordicalloc is just the right distance from the city to have cheaper living costs, while being close enough that it's not a long haul to get into the city. But if you want to live here, you have to do it now. All the rich folk have started to realize just how nice it is around here and are buying up houses. So land prices are climbing faster than I would like to be honest. Excellent shot Andrew! Taken from the bridge itself I'd say from the angle. I used to be a boy scout (many many years ago) our club house is the building with the orange panels of the right.
