Lake Jackson or what’s left of it. :\
It has rained so much the last three months I haven’t been able to go down here to take pictures. So last Friday it was not raining so I went down to Lake Jackson to find this! Not the result of a drought, but the result of a new Sink-hole opening up in it. Bummer!
Hope you all enjoy and please zoom.
Thanks for the comments.

Wow. I am so glad to have your masterpiece here. I thank you for your masterpiece. 5+!
Empty lakes have no fish..:-( Nice photo.
What a shame, someone pulled the plug!! Nice landscape Kim.
Interessantes Foto.
It's a real shame! Very interesting shot! :)
VERY INTERESTING CAPTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Great shot and interesting information.
Gorgeous landscape Kim, amazing green tones and depth, loved it!
Who pulled the plug!!! LOL! Great capture Kim of this beautiful area even without the lake!!
LOoks just like a muddy field. What a shame!
Such a shame, but makes a great capture.
sounds like a bummer, but better happen while no one is standing in the lake. I can imagine it swallowing gators, snakes, and 1000's of fish
really strang how some places get more rain then needed and other so much drought. we had a small lake here in the spings that had a sink hole, they drained and repaired the small lake. cool pic Kim.
Excellent shot +++++5
it is an awesome mystery how and why this happens. To bad all those lilies could die!
WE NEED RAIN ALL OVER AMERICA- USA & CANADA & MEXICO !! Let' all doooo the RAIN DANCE :)
A good shot showing the dramatic changes for the enviroment in this spot. The animals must be confused.
Perhaps the sink hole opened because of depletion of the local aquifer?
Fantastic capture.
Wow....Sink Holes can be dangerous.... Aloha
It all looks so different, that is scarey!!
Wow thats horrible hard to believe all the water is gone like this awesome catch.
:( That makes me sad. :( To speak of sink holes my son came home yesterday telling me of where some are around this area. He learned of them in science class. :))))))) It is crazy to see no water in this lake. Most excellent capture my friend. :))))) Thank you for sharing this most interesting image. :)))) Carry A Smile In Your Heart :))))
Here I am sure it doesnt help stuffing the hole with chewing gum. But it is a beautiful capture, Kim. Seems it could be better for growiing rice. :/
Interesting shot !
