Description

Ah! History! As it should be! With the giant biplanes left in... Following Steelrazer's request on an earlier posting (July 15th), We cross to the flight-deck of the USS Lexington, just a few years before World War Two breaks out in Europe. Here the US Navy prepares to launch more aircraft to join the search for Amelia Earhart and her missing "State of the Art" Lockheed L10 Electra. The Martin T4M "Comet" torpedo bomber was big. So big, if the carrier's captain thought the pilot's approach was a bit off-course he often found it was just easier for everyone concerned if they moved the carrier instead... ...well, ok I made that up. But gee, from the cockpit of one of these monsters the narrow flight deck must have looked like the back of a truck. Clearly, they don't make them like this any more. Rendered in Poser 9 assetts Various instances of M3 and clothes incl flying cap from ADH3D's USAAF pilot kit. My Martin T4M model AlicefromLake's USS Lexington Thanks for viewing and comments

Nice crowded deck scene, i've seen a few pictures of these and man they look huge with struts that look like scaffold poles. Well put together mate despite the sad outcome of the search.
