Description
I read something today that just jazzed my entire week...
First, a little background.
I used to write a little newsletter by the name of Blue Moon News. It was mildly popular---went out to 57,000 people in 120 different countries. It was about the strange and unusual. Things like weird rains, treasure hunts, haunted houses, psychics, astrology, weird science---things like that.
One of the most intriguing things that I wrote about (to me) was SHC, or Spontaneous Human Combustion.
Now, at that point, scientists were adamant that it NEVER happened, and in fact, couldn't and wouldn't happen. Funny thing, that. Turns out it can and does happen. :)
So I feel totally vindicated.
Since the gallery police won't let post a link, you can get to it by Googling:
smartplanet spontaneous human combustion
That should lead you to the article. New Scientist also has an article about it.
new scientist spontaneous human combustion
Google that and you can grab the link.
If you have some need to punish yourself and see what I used to write about you can catch a few examples of it on my blog here at 'rosity:

So this is Tempest, my new WIP...
Clothing by Rhiannon, hair by SAV
Pose and lights are mine.
And quit zooming in!! Sheesh...you never listen...

She looks hot. :) She should get a nice ice tea to cool down. ;) Yeah, there are records of spontaneous combustion through centuries, if not millenia past.
