I am not familar with this type of mushroom either, but I here of some that could be cooked up like a steak.Good find and shot.
Well, here I see some very beautiful patterns and textures, Kim. The colors are beautiful too. It looks there is already Autumn in your place arrived.
Quite a specimen - well seen & captured. I've found some this size growing on my property, but not being an expert, I would never risk eating a wild mushroom unless I was 100% sure that it wasn't poisonous...
A super sized shroom Kim and I can't help either! Great textures.
You did well to see it, so well blends in!!
Superb shot, nice colors !
Interesting shot!
Great capture of this giant mushroom Kim!!
Oh if only this was one you could eat. :)))))) This mushroom is a giant. :))) It was blending very well with the forest floor. :)))) Most excellent capture my friend. :)))) Thank you for sharing all of the beauty you see. :))) Carry A Smile In Your Heart :)))))
Great looking find Kim. I have no clue about the name but I've seen simular ones around here in the forest.
Love the textures. Nice find.
not a shroom knowledge person myself, but sure is cool and huge Kim.
a big one for sure.very sharp capture
Splendid shot.
Wow! That's a monster!
Awesome shroom, lovely colors and textures. Fantastic in zoom.
Love the textures on it!
Interesting Mushroom,Excellent Find and Capture
Cut it in half, cook half & feed it to a friend. Wait 24 hours, cook & eat other half yourself. Or buy a book :) Strangely (despite what our mothers tell us) most fungi aren't deadly, which don't mean they're good to eat. I have a 'shroom book and think this one is in the "feed to mother-in-law" category...
INTERESTING SHROOM GREAT COLOUR ,SUPER CAPTURE THERE KIM
We used to call these 'horse mushrooms' when we were kids and were told to stay away from them. This is a lovely capture of this one.
Mega find dude and one great capture of it.
Very well done. I love it. 5+!
CAMOUFLAGE ;-) GREAT SHOT
Excellent sot of this big shroom. I would not eat it.
Lovely patterns and textures Kim. A half dozen eggs, onions, peppers and maybe a nice breakfast – or poisoned!!!!
