Today is my 6th year anniversary here, but my computer didn't make it. It died on me a week ago and icons started disappearing off the screen, I lost my pictures and my graphic programs... I'm hoping all this will be restored after I take it into the shop - financially I can't afford to have it worked on right now, so this is Good bye for now - If my computer can be retored I'll be back, if not - well, I don't even want to think about it. I just wanted to post to let you all know what is happening... as some of you know, my Wife has an Old computer that takes forever to change screens, so I won't be commenting - I'll still check out the site from time to time though.

You'll be missed my friend but I'm sure things will look up mike sometimes things come around from the most unexpected sources hopefully the wait wont be too long and you'll be back like big arnie!! till then see ya bud!!
That is bad news my friend, hope you will be back soon. Just keep your eyes open, sometimes you can get something cheap or for free so you can get back to us.
OH MAAAAAAAAN! THAT SUCKS Mike!! I can help you out with a desktop PC and monitor, but not your software unfortunately. Hopefully you kept backups. You could always contact the company you purchased them from and see if they will look up your purchases and let you re-download. Let me know if you are interested in a used desktop PC.
Crap! Major bummer. Hopefully some things can be retrieved off the hard drive even if it's not able to be repaired. I decided to drop some bucks to get a 1TB external drive and have been backing up everything. The thought of losing so much out weighs the loss of the money. But this has become more than just a hobby for me. I really wish you luck and I hope for a speedy return.
Ooh dear, this is very sad news. I do hope you are able to get your computer fixed soon so that we can see you back here again with your great postings. You will really miss not having your computer.

Wow..Sorry to hear that..It sounds like the Hard Drive Died or could it have been a Heart Attack!!!!:)...For a Good Cheap Computer try E-Machine only a few Hundred...Hope all goes well see you soon

Well .. Mike I'm late again and behind again .. I see you've posted again after this, so you must either have used your wife's old pc or got yours fixed. Hope your's is fixed. bummer. I'm waiting to take my old faithful desktop in .. dunno if it's even worth fixing, but gotta save some bucks. All my extra $$$ had been going to pay vet bills lately. Hope your pc is back on track .... and that you're back here.
