Description
Since the Westland Lysander Mk I in my previous posting was painted black and it was the dark of night as well, I decided to give you a daylight version as well. This one's a bit different--but only slightly--being the version used for coastal patrol duty; hence, the bomb racks minus the ladder welded to the side on this one. There was also a version like this one, sans bombs, which was used for courier work.
Again, thanks Neil for a great model to play with. This time I got to use one of your two fine British WWII hangers plus a couple of your Mosquitoes as well.
I used the DoMuS P4man pilot with the same RAF gear as in the previous posting. Unfortunately, only a close up is going to do him justice.
Thanks for your comments and other encouragements; and especially for your friendship. All are valued.
Jeremy

Really nice!
Nice! I like it that there's one flying overhead as well, nicely composed scene!
Cool scene. I like that hanger.
"Special Delivery" on the way for some unsuspecting U-boat perhaps. Great looking airfield scene.
Great looking work mate! Well done! Coastal Command Lysanders carried out a vital task, the racks were not used often for bombs, they carried a liferaft more often, and supplies, until the found airman or seaman could be rescued by a flying boat or RAF launch.. I'm not sure if the ladder was kept for an observer or he was left out.. To help extend range slightly... But great work, I look forward to getting this model and playing with it! lol Ro
This is awesome Jeremy!!
Cool model ..nice detail and the propellors look fine
I hope to have something new finished in the next couple of days, then I might get this back off 'Tailspin' and get a go myself :-) Mega pic mate, sits really well with the Mosie's and the Hanger...really like / appreciate this on, and thanks for the mention, appreciated as always..
A very carefully crafted composition and scene. Well done! Ed.
First rate WWII aviation work!!! A restored B-17 is visiting us here in Central Illinois this weekend, super historical imagery!
