i don't normaly post two images so close together, but was working on this most of the day after hearing the tragic news at a midnight showing of the new dark knight batman show just over 24 hrs ago in Aurora Colorado, i live in the springs. most of you have already heard this and even posted wonderful thoughts, thank you. i hope and pray for the families/victims and loved ones, i hope mike, bob, jim to name a few of our friends who live in Denver that they did not attend. god bless all.
at this point last info on msn was 12 dead 58 injured..
so where can we go and have fun without the worries of dying???

I live seven miles from the theater and that's a little close to home for me. I also live about a mile from the Denver/Aurora city limits in Denver. I hope none of your other friends were anywhere near there either Steve. It's been a strange and disturbing day, following all of this. When it's your time to go, I don't think it matters where you are. So you might as well not worry about it and keep livin' ;) Beautiful angel and sweet render/dedi, hon.

Steve, this is so beautiful and I think the best work you've ever done. You are the first person I thought of when I heard this, and then your beautiful state... after the fires just so recently, after Columbine 13 years ago.... you've all been through enough. Yes it most definitely is a tragic statement on the state of mankind, but all of these happened under the canopy of purple mountain majesty, such a beautiful place... you've all been through enough. All we can hope for is that those who lost loved ones can find peace somehow and that something beautiful can come out of this horrible thing. When 9/11 happened, we saw the worst of mankind, and we also saw the best, and that best, more than anything, is how we can keep the world a well-lit place. Beautiful sentiment, stunning image -- the world holds Colorado close to their hearts tonight.

beautiful work for those fallen victims, not just of one mentally off person, but of a society that seems to believe that freedom means you can say, own, act out as one wishes. i have to say your state, colorado, really ought to reexamine its lack of laws concerning gun ownership. this is not the 1800's and people must adjust to the societal requirements of a modern society. who the hell needs an assault weapon with 100 rounds?

Your Angel here makes me think she has a ball and chain - kinda feels that way with TWO of the Worst Killings in History in "safe places". ...Ya know, I loved Batman growing up, I bought comics of Batman, I watched the TV series. ...These Batman movies are completely different. Batman use to laugh, had a sense of humor.... everything is so dark.... the batman characters in the movies I just never felt a connection = so, I haven't liked them... hell, when I was going through a divorce, my Ex gave me a Batman Movie as a present on my birthday and she knew I didn't like it - kinda a rub in the face.... so no Steve, I wasn't there... maybe it's a good thing, cause I'll tell ya, if they would of made it more like the old batman series, maybe I would of been there. ...ya know, Batman doesn't carry a gun, so why did they start making these Movies about guns??? You and I living in Colorado, that's all we've seen on TV for the last 24 hours, we've heard this Psycho rooted for the bad guy in comics - if they would of left the guns out of the Batman movies, I wonder if this would of happened? Probably. but maybe he would of thrown laughing gas.
