Description
This is the cockpit of the Boeing N2S-3 'Kaydet' No. N747RB owned by Don Sloan of Dover, DE.
I don't have a pilots license, and I have never flown in an open cockpit bi-plane, but looking at this beautiful, old aircraft I wondered what could have happened if I had been old enough to learn to fly in one of these, before transitioning to an A-6 for an instrument rating.
I could easily see myself flying around on a sunny Sunday afternoon in one of these keeping track of the old instruments and checking out the scenery.
And the engine sounded fantastic too. Low pitch, easy deep rumble.

The only way to fly, time to take in the scenery and if the engine cuts out it probably glides well too...Congrats for LWITG..
A wonderful photo and the movie 'Blue Max' flashed through my mind as I studied this shot!
