Description
I saw the old man lend over and told the young lady something. i was happy i took the photo as the reaction was pure fun. I talked to her after and she told me he say something that happen a long time ago. He was her god father. may be her grand father also. i do not know that part. I not too much on catholic belies.
this is the only way i could think of to paint it so people will understand the faces.

Great painting and good mood
a wonderful painting of the intimate connection between a young woman and her god father...you capture the progressive feeling of the old man interrupting the violinist piece by piece, her recognition of him, her connecting with him, and her joy in the last panel. I was a musician most of my life, and you really have to WANT to talk to someone, while you're playing your instrument, to actually talk to them. This woman seems to want to connect with the old man, and you bring out her stages of connection beautifully. Plus fine work with the colors and shadows, etc. A beautiful evocation, Jock, and beautifully done, as always.
