Description
I picked up this maple leaf on our walk yesterday so I could shoot it for the July Photography Challenge. The topic this month is "Textures."
Check it out! This isn't a contest ... just a way for us to stretch as artists and shoot things we might not normally shoot.

Amazing, and if I'm able, I'm gonna make at least one challenge entry before this month is over. Ah, there's drama this month: the kind that means an end of an era, and that is a good thing. Anyway: I love this image; it's quite elegant and it reminds me of the leaves I saw scattered on various tables in the Czech Republic. Good memories. Brilliant work, and the crackled texture of what appears to be a book cover is completely compelling, as is the leaf itself. I love the wonderful juxtaposition. The background is just as important as the leaf itself. Super!
