Description
Here you see the 'copter has landed for consultation with the ground crew. The rotors did not stop and you can see how close I was although this was with a zoom lens!
You can see more of the pilot in zoom.

Yes but at 150 mm you were not that far away either. Nice shot!
Love this close capture of the helicopter my friend. Superb capture my friend. God Bless.
What a great portrait of this giant fly!
Hard to believe this can get off the ground, brute strength and bumble bee thinking....great to see this sort of hardware 'in the wild' 10/10+
Nice shot of this huge heli... Aloha
terrific shot Jef, superb detail
Another great one.
What a monster this is i would love to catch a ride in it great shots also.
Never been this close to one before!
Zoomed in there is some great detail here. I'll have to see if there is a model of one of these, it would be good in a render. Fine shot!
splendid shot
Excellent capture! You can make out a lot of details on it in zoom. :)
Wonderful shot! Those rotors are a bit scary, though!
"Eee - gads! A giant dragonfly! Help! Where's the bug spray?" - T.Rex. It sure does look like a big bug-eyed dragonfly. Nice close up photo giving lots of detail for model builders and aircraft enthusiasts alike! Glad you kept safe from the rotors - they can make scrambled eggs of anything. Keep up the good work! :-)
So impressing, Jeff. A great capture. There is a lot to see on it, also I concluded the helicopter is controlled on the right side, just as it is for cars in England.
Good shot. The detail when you zoom in is fantastic.
Very good shot, Jeff.
Are you being invaded? Spectacular shot with the rolling farmland in the background. It presents a wonderful contrast. You are right zoom is much more detailed.
Very nice character. Great lighting and pose! Really nice work
