Description
...
Here showing again either a moth or a butterfly (hence the "Motherfly 2" title) at the Wegerzyn Gardens.
This time on a big water lily flower. At the pond.
So there! ;)
AuntieTK found what it is:
"I found it! What you have here is a polygonia interrogationis, also known as a Question Mark butterfly. :D "
Thanks, Auntie! :)
You can see the same insect there, with its wings open:

I found it! What you have here is a polygonia interrogationis, also known as a Question Mark butterfly. :D Gorgeous shot ... I love the contrast between the butterfly and the pastels of the flower and background. Beautiful!
Such a treat to see this - great capture indeed!
Thank you Cruzado, Vapo, Dave, AuntieTK, and Kinchie! :) With a name like that, sounds like it should be related to 3D or something. ;)
How beautiful, love the contrast of colors between flower & butterfly (nice to know what he/she is now) =D thanks so much for sharing this fantastic shot!
