I still think the Tomcat is cooler, but the Hornet is definitely on my Favorite Aircraft list.

Nice.
The F14D was my boyhood dream aircraft. I studied it, and any aircraft I could, for the day I could fulfill my dream as a naval pilot. Turned 18, went down to the recruiter, passed my tests with flying colors, then get told 6'5" is too big to fit even in an F14. WHAT?!?!?! "You can fly helo's, no problem." In the immortal words of Lennon, 'Life happens when you're making other plans.' Still a good memory, looking back now. Thanks for the recollection with your image!
