Description
The house lights are going down, and it's time to take your seats.
I was getting tired of the blues and greens and grays of our trip photos, and wanted to inject some color into my gallery. One "intermission" picture has turned into three! Okay ... it was a long intermission ... hopefully you all had time to get a glass of wine and make use of the facilities. :P

Such an inviting photo, in a most lovely soft mood and color. I would love to drink a glass of wine, by imagine those tender purple will flow around my face, and I can smell and feel it as an embrace. Wonderful!

Well, I did go get a cup of coffee! WOOOOOW - this is sooooooo soothing, Tara! The soft, pastel purple, rich detail, and lighting makes this seem to glow... A beautiful work of art, my dear friend! And now, let the show continue.... ;-D

you already know what I think of the series, and this is the beautiful finale. It's beautiful, sumptuous, flowing, swirling, and there's a gentle grain which gives it wonderful texture. The light on the highlighted sections---esp the little tentacles in the low foreground (can't tell if they're stamens)---is almost as if they were lit from within. Beautiful soft light...These closeups of yours naturally take away from the larger structure; but they bring out the inner essence as a result. And the vortex in the center---with a slight bit of light before we plunge into eternity, so to speak---is very expressive, showing just how vast a flower is, and far beyond the "pretty" that's most commonly associated with the flower. Your closeups bring out their oceanic qualities. A great shot.
